Biographical / Historical
Rev. Thomas B. Curran, O.S.F.S. became the first non-Jesuit President of Rockhurst University on October 27, 2006. He was a Roman Catholic Priest, as well as a member of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales.He came to Rockhurst form Regis University in Denver where he served as associate vice president for University Relations, and assistant to the president.

Fr. Curran was born June 29,1955 in Philadelphia. He earned a B.A. in politics and an an M.A. in theology from DeSales University, an M.A. in liberal studies, public policy and government form Georgetown University, a J.D. from the Catholic University of America, and an M.B.A. from St. Joseph's University. On May 11, 2015, Fr. Curran took his final vows and was accepted into the Society of Jesus.

Scope and Contents
This series contains 2 boxes of Inauguration materials, and 1 box containing Student Welfare committee correspondence, campus updates, announcements and invitations, and photos covering the span from his inauguration in 2006 to 2011. This series is part of the legacy collection, and has little original order and unknown provenance.
