Data Visualization

Introduction

Welcome to Greenlease Library's Data Visualization Research Guide!

Data visualization is a solution to data overload. By turning numbers into graphics, researchers and others can show the relationships and patterns that contextualize their data and make their numbers into a story. Use this guide to find sources throughout the Library and on the Web. If you can't find what you need, contact us via phone, chat, or email. No question is too big or too small!

From TED, "David McCandless turns complex data sets (like worldwide military spending, media buzz, Facebook status updates) into beautiful, simple diagrams that tease out unseen patterns and connections. Good design, he suggests, is the best way to navigate information glut — and it may just change the way we see the world."
