Physical Description: There is a piece of mylar over the front of the painting in the place of glass.The matting is inscribed withg "Proposed Library Rockhurst College". There is a label on the lower right comer of the mat which states the name and address of the architectural firm. Angus McCallum AIA, ARCHITECT, 1221 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City 5 Missouri. The frame is brown wood, 41 " wide x 30 " high.

Scope and Contents

An original Framed and matted Architectural color rendering of how the proposed library was going to appear. This rendering shows the main entrance toward the right side of the building. Later renderings move the entrance to the left, where it is currently located.

Biographical / Historical

This painting hung in front of the podium at the groundbreaking ceremony for Greenlease Library in 1965, presided over by Cardinal Joseph Ritter, Bishop Charles Helmsing, Bishop Joseph Sullivan, Mayor Roe Bartle and Fr. Maurice Van Ackeren.
