New EBSCO Database Interface

Accessing Saved EBSCO Folders in the New User Interface

This summer, our EBSCO databases and OneSearch will be moving over to an updated user interface (the "new UI").  Database contents will remain the same, and if you have a MyEBSCO account items that you saved in your folder will be transferred over as well.  However, if you have created custom folders in your personal EBSCO account, you'll need to take extra steps to save that material for the new interface.

If you have created any custom folders in your EBSCO account that you would like to use in the new interface, then you'll need to take the following steps to make sure that they're migrated over by copying them from your My Custom folders into your Folders.

Migrating Folders in your EBSCO User Account to the New UI

  1. Log on to the library's website and access an EBSCO database (it doesn't matter which one).  Here's a link to Academic Search Complete to get you started.
  2. Click "Sign In" at the top-right of the navigation bar, and log in to your EBSCO account.

3. Click "Folder" on the navigation bar and look towards the bottom of the list that unfolds on the left-hand side of the screen to see if you have any custom folders:

4. Open each of your custom folders to view their contents.  Click on the checkbox to select all, then select "Move To" in the drop-down menu to move your items to My Folder.

5. Repeat this step for all custom content that you want to transfer.

6.  That's it!  Content in your non-custom folders will be migrated.
